Woken up for dinner – though we haven’t really slept much – I think Dave’s having side effects from the lentils. Very bad headaches also. They split us into two groups, one left at 11pm one at 12pm (we’re in the fast group) – and aim to meet up on the final push to the summit. It’s freezing!
This is the hardest thing ever. It’s dark and minus 15 with snow and a cold 15mph wind. It feels more like minus 20 – and the wind gets stronger the closer we get to the summit. Can everyone wish us a safe trek. Hope to be there around 4am UK time (when you’re all tucked up warm in your beds). I’ll try to blog from the top!
Keep going everyone ..you are nearly there… You have done so so well to get this far and the end is in sight… Keep going.. We are all willing you on… Bek/Tav… you can do this…

Need wide brimmed hats. Advice for next climbers bring tabasco sauce, biscuits lots of chewy and sucky sweets, and health climbers for the doctor!

We hit the summit and then a 1000m drop scree slope that usually takes 8 hours – we did it in 1 hour. Absolutely fabulous.

Hoping you are all okay through what must be the toughest part { I’m guessing ] Just to have climbed any part of that Mountain really is an amazing achievement and something most can just imagine.
