Day 5

20 01 2010

Hi All,  we had rice and lentils for dinner last night – rather heavy, put us all to sleep.  View in front of the tent this morning is through clouds across all of Africa.  behind is the summit.  Danny maintaining standards and applying posh deo to make camp smell better.  Last nights sleep for two days we’re aiming for base camp today.  Bit of a rest then on to summit tonight/early morning tomorrow.

Dave, Danny and the group, congrats on getting so far, almost there now! Not sure about the rice and lentils though – yuk!! We are all thinking of you and very excited/nervous about our trip!

Blog Administrator – we have a Blog for our trip but can’t work out how to set up the subscriptions, would you be able to give me or Ben Craig a call 0207 202 0033.

Thanks

If Danny or I laugh in our tent we slide all the way down to the end. Not funny.

We can see the route to the summit out of the tent – and off mountain. Amazing weather throughout. How did the Blues get on?

Your personal football correspondent relies as follows:
Bham didn’t play on Saturday as the pitch at Portsmouth was waterlogged.
Liverpool got a scruffy draw at Stoke, so remain 1 pt above Bham.
Fulham lost so the gap between them and us is healthily unchanged.Chelsea narrowly scraped ahead of Sunderland 7 -2.
Gold, Sullivan Brady have bought 50% in West Ham yesterday (Tuesday)
Man City , both goals from Tevez, beat Man Utd 2 -1 in the first leg of the Carling semi final last night.
Villa got a 0-0 draw at home to West Ham on sunday. In fact they were lucky to get the 0.

Well done.Have a safe trip to the top and return down afterwards

Richard
